Overall the staffs are helpful and room is quiet even though it is located beside the main road.

This hotel location is within walking distance to many attractions. There are good eating places nearby.

Ceiling is a bit low and a few bathroom tiles are sharp. There could be a small leak in the pipe below the sink. The car park space is not so pleasant.

The outdoors and the reception hall doesn’t show that, but it has actually pretty good rooms. Comfy bed, well supplied bathroom, what else you need as a tourist… Plus it’s really good located, midway between to train station and the centre with bars and restaurants

Just ok

It is just as you see in the photos. The location is excellent, very close to the station and easy to find. The room is large, bright, with a refrigerator and electric kettle, the bed is very comfortable...

The bad thing is that everything is a little old. The airconditioner is noisy, there is a smell of food (even though there is no restaurant), some little things don't work so well. In my case, for three nights it was perfect.

It wasn't bad. I would stay there again if it was cheaper.

Although it is an old building, it felt clean. There were no problems.

It was a little far from the station with heavy suitcases. The room was a little small.

Old facilities though, a good enough place

location is great. the room i got was spacious and clean. the bed was hard in a good way, sheets were very crisp.

All of the staff at the reception seemed to be very unhappy about something at all times.

Great staff and good location

Very old facilities and the bed was so hard and uncomfortable. The past reviews suggested it to be very clean but it was so dusty and even found someone’s old shoes under the bed. Parking was also an issue as it’s only a very small car park. I think booking is essential if you want to park there.

Clean rooms, good location, nice staff, they spoke English. Comfortable relatively hard beds. Shower for your bottom :)

bad wifi with maximally 5/5 Mb speed. Breakfast is mostly Chinese - there is toast, jam, and butter for the western breakfast.

The room was a good size and had its own window which we needed to ventilate (see smoke comments below). The wifi worked well and the bathroom was clean.

It seems that many of the hotel's guests smoke so that even the non-smoking rooms we were given smelled like smoke. In our second room, whenever the heat would turn on we would be inundated with smoke fumes. While breakfast had a good spread, it was never hot. It seemed like food had been sitting out for a while, regardless of when we came down to eat.

Stay elsewhere!

Location was convenient.

The room was dated. The hotel also claimed to be ‘non-smoking’ but we can smell cigarettes in the room when we first checked in. On our second night, guests were smoking as we can smell very strong cigarette smells from our room - when we went to complain, the staff tried to bury the problem rather than solving it. Apparently it is common for certain tourists to smoke and the staff couldn’t do anything. They did not try to find out who were smoking. It is also concerning that the fire/smoking alarm in the guest room didn’t go off. In the end the staff gave us discount for our stay - as they couldn’t move us to a new room (fully booked). This did not get rid of the smoking smell and ruined our experience of staying in Tainan and Taiwan.

Great location in the city center, and easy to walk from the train station. Spacious and comfortable room, and also quiet enough for a good rest. Friendly staff.

Good value in good location, comfy to rest in.

People at the help desk were friendly and helpful, even though we didn't speak much Mandarin. The lighting in the room was good and it was clean. Beds were comfy and mattress was firm. Location was close to where we wanted/needed to go. It was nice to have wifi in the rooms too

Building and room design is outdated and old. There was only one lift. Breakfast was average.

Comfortable & clean environment, relatively helpful staff

The proximity of the hotel to local attractions, local food stalls are fantastic but a bit far from the main train station. The pedestrian sidewalk have no ramps so it is very inconvenient for wheeled luggage
